Mascot Contest

This is my entry for a mascot contest held by Nikkei Curitiba.

It was awarded the second place.

His name is Caramelo, a mascot who mix the features of the cheerful brazilian "caramel" dog, reflecting his joyful personality, with the adorable traits of the Shiba Inu.

The contest themed around the blend of Brazilian and Japanese cultures, so I designed a character that embodies this fusion.

The color palette and clothing patterns are inspired by the Brazilian flag, while the overall art style leans into a cute anime aesthetic.

He loves rice and manju, but struggles to make sushi rolls properly.
